Why Sandestin?

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is a 2,400-acre gated world of its own, stretching from the Gulf of Mexico's sugar-white sands to the calm waters of Choctawhatchee Bay. This single Miramar Beach community packs in championship golf, a full-service marina, miles of bike trails, the shops and restaurants of the Village of Baytowne Wharf, multiple pool complexes, and direct beach access. Whether it's a family reunion, a couples' getaway, or a week of doing nothing at all, Sandestin keeps guests coming back year after year. As an Epiqhost guest, you get the best of it: a curated home, insider local knowledge, and boutique-level hospitality from a team that knows this resort inside and out.

About Sandestin® Resort

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort® is a 2,400-acre destination on Florida's Northwest coast, with 30 village neighborhoods of condos, villas, townhomes, and hotels. Guests enjoy seven miles of sugar-white beach and bayfront, four championship golf courses, 15 tennis courts, 19 pools, a 123-slip marina, water sports, a spa, and 65,000 square feet of meeting space. At its center, a lively pedestrian village offers shopping, dining, nightlife, and year-round festivals: a complete vacation world built for one-of-a-kind experiences.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort® sits in Miramar Beach on Northwest Florida's Gulf Coast, between Pensacola and Panama City and just eight miles east of Destin. A Visit South Walton member, it's the only resort on both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Gulf, with easy access via the Fort Walton Beach, Panama City, and Pensacola airports. Founded in 1973, the 2,400-acre property is Northwest Florida's premier family resort destination.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort® delivers the Southeast's premier year-round sand, surf, and golf escape for families and groups, and it's the only resort in the region with both beach and bay access. Guests enjoy standout golf at the Raven Golf Club, expanded tennis, and a wide range of recreation, with accommodations spanning condos, villas, and large single-family homes. At the center of the resort's standout development is the 28-acre Village of Baytowne Wharf, home to 30 shops, restaurants, and bars. Sandestin also features the 168-unit Grand Sandestin and the Baytowne Conference Center, anchored by the Magnolia Ballroom, the largest on the Gulf Coast in Northwest Florida, plus 65,000 square feet of state-of-the-art meeting space, including two 13,000-square-foot ballrooms.

Golf carts not registered with Sandestin® are prohibited on resort premises, and outside rentals are not permitted within the resort. A limited number of Epiqhost rentals include a golf cart with the property. Want to know if a golf cart is available for your stay? Contact your Epiqhost Reservation Sales Specialist at +1 (850) 909-9191 for details.

Activities, Sports & Dining

Sandestin offers guests 72 holes of award-winning golf across four championship courses: Raven Golf Club, Burnt Pine Golf Club, The Links Golf Club, and Baytowne Golf Club, each designed by a world-renowned course architect. Sandestin is the only resort with courses designed by both Jones brothers, with Rees Jones behind Burnt Pine and Robert Trent Jones Jr. behind Raven, while The Links and Baytowne were both designed by Tom Jackson. Beyond golf, Sandestin® features 15 world-class tennis courts in hard and Hydrogrid clay with lessons for all ages, 7.5 miles of sugar-white beach and bayfront, the 223-slip Baytowne Marina, 19 pools, a fitness center, salon and day spa, the 18-hole Dunes putting course, and Jolee Island nature park. Guests can also enjoy beach volleyball, biking, hiking, kayaking, catch-and-release fishing, wave runner and pontoon rentals, sailing charters and lessons, sunset cruises, and Solaris dinner cruises.

Sandestin® offers more than 20 on-resort restaurants. The 28-acre Village of Baytowne Wharf, a pedestrian-only coastal village along Choctawhatchee Bay, features dining favorites like Slick Lips Seafood and Oyster House, Another Broken Egg Café, and Robertos Pizza, plus nightlife at Hammerhead's Bar & Grille, Rum Runners, and John Wehner's Village Door. The new Hotel Effie Sandestin adds four more options: upscale dining at Ovide, drinks and bites at TLB (The Lobby Bar) and Ara Rooftop Pool & Lounge, and its own coffee market. For waterfront vibes, head to The Beach House on the Gulf, Marina Bar & Grill at Baytowne Marina, or one of three seasonal Tiki Bars.

Life at Sandestin® moves at its own pace, where golf carts and bikes are the preferred way to get around in a one-of-a-kind setting designed for guests. Select units come with a golf cart, though you're welcome to drive your own car throughout the resort. Sandestin® also runs a fleet of trams from the beach to the bay; simply show the Epiqhost Tram Pass included with many non-cart units to hop on. Explore the Epiqhost Sandestin Map: epq.me/sandestin.

Please leave no trace; any unattended or overnight items will be removed. Metal shovels are not allowed, as large holes create hazards for fellow beachgoers and marine life. Glass containers are prohibited, and guests must stay off the dunes. Littering, nudity, and excessive noise are not permitted, and vehicles, pets, and fires all require permits. Violations of beach rules may result in penalties or fines.
